Sidi Bou Said (previously named Jabal El-manar) is a town located on top of a steep cliff in the north of , the capital of . The entire town is simply beautiful, with flowers draped from almost every wall and doorway. It is a tourist attraction known for its extensive use of blue and white.
Sidi Bou Said is named after a religious figure "Abu Said Al-baji" who lived there and established a sanctuary in the 12th/13th century.
During the 1920s, Rodolphe d'Erlanger introduced the blue-white theme to the town. His home, Ennejma Ezzahra is now a museum.
