Why coffee grind size matter?
Every brewing method speaks a different language:
espresso, french press, pour-over, And the grind is what makes them understood.
Grind size decides how water meets the bean, how long it stay, and how much flavour it draws out.
There’s no single right answer, just the one that brings balance to your mathod, your beans, your taste
That’s the beauty of it. You learn through every cup, every mistake, every small adjustment.
What grind size affects? Taste - too fine can make your coffee bitter, too coarse can make it sour or weak. Brew time - finer grinds extract faster, coarse ones need more time. Texture - smaller particles make the cup heavier, larger ones feel cleaner and lighter
Fine Grind Looks like: table salt. Result: an intense, full-bodied brew with bold flavour and aroma
Medium Grind Looks like: regular sand. Result: a balanced cup with both clearity and sweetness
Coarse Grind Looks Like: sea salt. Result: a clean, mild cup with low bitterness and a heavierbody.
