I am currently in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, but I am getting ready to move back to one of my favorite previous home bases - The Passamaquoddy Bay Area, of the State of Maine. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean, the Bay of Fundy, the mouth of the St. Croix River, and the Canadian Province of New Brunswick. It is literally at the crossroads of several countries, and a huge amount of history.

There are so many smaller bays and lighthouses in this area, it is probably an impossible task to see them all in a single day. There is even a former American President’s Summer house, that is located in Canada. And a nearby historical Island and National Park, that is shared by both countries.

In 2017 I started a journey in my original home country (Germany), that was unfortunately cut short, due to a lack of necessary funds. At this point in my life (age 76), I want to once again return to where I was born and travel the roads to where my parents were born and lived during their youth. The area I plan to travel (by bicycle), span from the North Sea Coast of Holland and Germany, to the Baltic Coast of Poland, and (if possible) the rest of the area that was once known as East Prussia.

I am looking for sponsorship for this journey. Please contact me if you would like to in some way participate or sponsor any part of this journey. I am looking for private and corporate sponsors, for equipment, daily expenses, housing, etc. I am also looking for both online and traditional publishers, that may be interested in this story.

Thakhek, Laos - After entering Laos at the Cambodian border about a month ago and spending some time in the 4,000 Islands area, Pakse and Savannakhet, I am now (like all of us, isolated for an indefinite period of time) in Thakhek, Laos which is located across the Mekong River from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. Historically a trading town because of its location, it is now a popular resort for people traveling up or down Laos Route 13 and the nearby limestone cliffs are considered to be one of the best rock climbing areas in South East Asia.
