📍Koh Ker Temple Group in Preah Vihear Province, about 2 Hours aways from Siem Reap, Cambodia.
I wonder whether you ever heard of a Pyramid temple of Cambodia within 35meters height from the ground. It is called Prasat Prang of Koh Ker temple group where you will see plenty other temples in the area. As well during the tour.
Despite the fact that this is also a site of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE, it is not so busy amd mostly you will see more local tourists than foreigners due to the distance from Siem Reap, but trust me, it really worth the drive and time.
If you really plan to go visiting there from Siem Reap, I would recommend you start your day early so you can have more time to enjoy more places and if possible, stay until sunset so you can see nicer view from the top of Prasat Prang entirely.
The highlights here are my all time must visit there such as Prasat Pram, Prasat Neang Kmao, Trapeang Kna, and Prasat Krochab. There will@be more details provided during the tour.
Feel free Send me a DM regarding the tour and information.

📍Architectural and City Walk in Battambang, Cambodia 🇰🇭
I am a proud citizen of how rich Battambang is. We are rich, not economic meaning but rich in art, food, and architecture aside from it is renowned as the rice bowl of the country.
Here is the sneak peek of Battambang town I did the walk from my recent Khmer New Year holiday.
We can do more than just local village and food tasting but we can also spend our morning or late afternoon roaming around to see not just the lives in town but also the architectural building remaining from pre Colonial, (mostly) colonial, and post colonial time. I am sure you can recognize the colonial building by its style and color (light solid).
You can do just casual city tour or soon you will be able to go deeper and more insightful of the architectural tour in town. I am so excited for this beautiful that gonna be more exciting and more detail explained by the architects themselves.
Are you interested with city tour or architecture tour in Battambang? Have you been to Battambang? You should!

📍Visiting Steung Treng, Cambodia 🇰🇭
To me this is like a market paradise as their local wet-market is never fail to impress me.
It’s always the real life in the local markets, the interaction between sellers and buyers, the smell of fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, flowers, and some other fresh ingredients that got my heart and I am sure, you as a foodie, a market lover, and someone who is interested with local probably understands how exciting this can be.
I highly recommend this local markets if you’re in Steung Treng. This province is rich with natural resources and water diversity as they have a big Mekong River running through the city andgoes along with SeKong River, SeSan River, and Sre Pok River. You can go between Laos and Cambodia within this province land borders as well, so why don’t you spend one or two nights here?

📍The Sunrise Equinox is approaching, and Angkor Wat is the destination 🇰🇭
In just two more days, the special phenomena is about to happen in Angkor Wat (between 20th-22nd March this year) you can go and see the sunrise when the sun is rising right on the main tower. This special sunrise is happening two times per years (March and September)
In the past, our king and ancestors would make the rice ball floating at the Baray (water reservoirs) in order to dedicate to the deceased who died in the battle field and those who didn’t have a proper funeral for the death. They would do it three mornings during the equinox and solstices.
Are you around here during the equinox?
P.s my photos were taken two weeks before the equinox

📍Seeing Sunset in Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
I know that beautiful sunset is not everyday and it is not that beautiful sunset can be seen everywhere but at least give it a try!
This is one of my current favorite sunset spot as I like the light reflecting over the water in the moat of Angkor Thom.
This spot is kinda blocked by the trees which mean that the sun down is not the spot to come for but the light comes after is an ideal for me here!
Recently, Sunset is around 6pm which means you can come here probably by 5:30 or 5:45 without ticket (I know this sound cheeky) but still I recommend you buy a ticket as you will still need it anyway 😉
Are you also a SUNSET CHASER? Because I am!

📍Having a slow day aside from Temple amd tour activities in Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
What else you can enjoy your half/full free day in Siem Reap when you have/want to take a break from the temple or tour activities to make it a slow day? Maybe cafe?
We have plenty of Cafes in Siem Reap tgese days either in a nice cool with ac cafe, to fan-breathing cafe and outdoor cafe along the riverside!
Besides cafe, you can walk along tge riverside and you might run into a pop up mini library or maybe nicely organized plants and bench! Randomly you can also stop by some of the pagodas along the riverside walk too!
In the evening, maybe you can check out Phnom Krom area where you can drive up for the view of Yonle Sap or around the mountain for the village lives over there!
In Short, Siem Reap is not just about temple and tour activities, but you can also enjoy your slow day here too 😉

📍Breakfast in Local Cambodia 🇰🇭
When you are in Cambodia and especially if you have friendly stomach, be sure to try our local breakfast either Kuy Tiev (the Noodle Soup) or Bai Sach Chruk (Rice and Pork)
My all time to go with is always Bai Sach Chruk and I am sure most Cambodian love it too!
I really enjoy eating these every morning and 2026 give me another hobby to go from school area to local market where is so interesting, reasonable prices , and delicious.
It is so easy to go get Bai Sach Chruk and Kiy Tiev now but my childhood memory is that Kuy Tiev was expensive only rich kids could afford it 😂
Interested with tasting like a local? Don’t hesitate to send me a DM

📍Visiting Kulen moun to Welcome my 2026 🇰🇭
Kulen mountain is about an hour drive from the city and it is best to drive up slowly and enjoy the breathtaking view along the way!
We had a few stops up there by Perng Chrounh for taking beautiful landscape, we stopped for the Thousand lingas River for the holy water, we went to Preah Ang Thom for making merit and blessing in both Buddhism and Hinduism practice!
At the end we had a picnic by thewater stream and soaked our feet/legs to feel the bless (because We were short of time to walk down to the waterfall)
In short, Kulen mountain is where you feel both historical site, spiritual connecting, and relaxing mode! Is this somewhere you might like?

Religious in Cambodia 🇰🇭
Cambodia has been a Hindu country for almost a thousand years before the very first change to become a Mahayana Buddhism country around the year of 1181.
This doesn’t mean that buddhism just started but it has been here along with Hinduism but it was just in a minority before late 12CE.
After Buddhism has been converted in late 12CE, Hinduism was converted back in mid 13CE for about 50 years and that was when buddha images have been ruined either to be buried underground , to changed in carving, or to be relocated.
Here are the brief images I got when I was in Preah Khan temple last week.
Mostly you see them in the form they changed to become rishi/guru but here you can see it as a dancer too!
Preah Khan has so much more to see and The changed in image of buddhas are also different from one to one another too!

📍Cambodia and our tradition🇰🇭
This is B’ro Teep, the lantern we floating over the water to pay homage to apologize and to thanks the water goddess. We do it either at the end of buddha lent, or at the night of full moon during the water festival or at both.
We just follow our ancestors’ footsteps, we keep practicing our traditions and rituals from generation to generation and it becomes part of our culture and lives, and remain deep rooted already.
We have plenty of celebrations you can come at the different time of the year and see different activities as well.
We don’t just bring food for ancestors and all about dedication to them but we still have the rituals remaining from animism and hinduism practices too.
I think I never learned enough about my country because the more I see and feel curious, the more I realize I should keep learning!
