In the golden light of Tsavo East, we were treated to a heartwarming scene—two older lion cubs tumbling over their patient mama, lounging in the grass as if she were part of the landscape. Their energy was endless, full of swats, pounces, and playful bites.

Moments like these capture the softer side of the king of beasts—family, play, and the bond that keeps them strong. What made it even more special was witnessing it with my own family, sharing the wonder together in the wild. 🦁❤️

Amboseli National Park, Kenya, gifted us a day to remember. We watched herds of elephants move gracefully across the plains—tiny babies sticking close to their mothers, young bulls play-fighting in the dust, and solitary old giants making their quiet way through the savannah. Each moment was a reminder of their raw power and deep family bonds.

The park itself is breathtakingly vast, stretching endlessly beneath the sky. And in the distance, rising above the horizon like a dream, stood Mount Kilimanjaro—its snowcapped peak floating in the haze.

An unforgettable place, and a privilege to witness. 🐘🌍📷

Had a great birding day at Lettuce Lake. It was my first outing with my new Sigma 150-600mm. I got lucky and two fledgling barred owls were right by the trail. Another photographer gave me a tip of where to find the small yellow bird. (I believe it's a prothonotary warbler) While waiting at it's nest for more than 30 minutes, I got to shoot the little blue heron and snowy egret. The warbler showed up only every 10-15 minutes to feed it's babies. On the way out I stopped at the bird feeders to see some cardinals, doves, and tufted titmouse's. I tried to get some humming birds, but they are way too fast. haha I'm excited to see what else I can capture.
