Sadly last night I received new that one of Amboseli’s great icons had past away. Tim was one of the last remaining “Super Tuskers” in Africa. He was approximately 50yrs old when he died prematurely presumably of natural causes (post mortem results pending). Tim was a beautiful soul who was very friendly and mischievous.
Last year I got to meet Tim whilst at Amboseli. Being in the presence of one of the last remaining super tuskers (approx less than 30 remaining world wide) is a very special experience. He will sadly be missed.
Rest In Peace old boy! 🐘

Magnificent Kwitonda family Silverback contemplating life.
The Mountain Gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) as their name suggests live high up in the mountains of Rwanda, Uganda and DR of Congo. Due to wars in the region, hunting for bush meat, habitat destruction and disease populations of these gorillas 🦍 have been decimated over the past century and are currently listed as endangered. Thanks to the amazing work of countries like Rwanda, these gorillas are slowly increasing in population size. But still need our help and protection.
It was such an amazing privilege to sit in the presence of this beautiful silverback. Thank you Gurveer for your Lightroom expertise and training.
