A raft facing a semi submerged manyatta on the shores of Lake Turkana in Kalokol, Kenya.

The lake is rising fast due to the unusual rains in the Ethiopian highlands and catchment areas, upstream dams in Ethiopia—breaking its banks, swallowing homes, and reshaping lives. Lake Turkana being a closed-basin (has no natural outlet) is now flooding history, culture, and a community. Are we watching or acting?
