FINEPART MURIUKI PHOTOGRAPHY
FinePArt Muriuki is a self-taught fine art photographer currently based in Nairobi, Kenya. His artistic journey began in 2010 as a fine art drawer and painter, where he expressed his vision of the world through sketches and paintings. In 2018, he transitioned to photography, adopting the camera as his primary tool of fine art expression—a practice he continues to this
day. Muriuki’s photographic works focus on telling unique stories of both the Divine Creator and human creators in their diverse elements. From capturing the peculiarity of God’s handiwork in nature to showcasing the artistry of architects, riders, drivers, pyrotechnicians, pedestrians, and more, his fine art carries a distinct and undeniable signature. A glance at Muriuki’s portfolio reveals that his artistry is deeply inspired by themes such as rarity, skill, nature, culture, symbolism, paradox, beauty, peace in chaos, imagination, impermanence, hope, and love. While his foundation was in drawing and painting, the only aspect that changed in his transition to photography was the medium of expression. His desire to reveal the hidden beauty within both natural and artificial creations remains steadfast. Undoubtedly, his relentless pursuit of unique visual stories—combined with his zeal for capturing and preserving captivating moments—ensures that he will leave an indelible imprint in the history of photography as The ExPat Artist who Paints with Light.
