To date she has shot over 200 weddings taken dozens of family portraits and shot for a variety of private and commercial clients. In the following years I started shooting weddings for friends and portfolios for models registered with my agency Surazuri. In 1995 several of my photographs were selected to appear in a book called ‘Images of the West’. It was at this point that I began to charge clie
nts for my services and went ‘professional’. To date I have shot almost 200 weddings all over Kenya and several in the UK. I regularly work for several of Kenya’s high end safari companies covering bush weddings. I have shot an enormous cross section of Kenyan society with some weddings hosting more than 800 guests. I enjoy capturing the mood and details of such a special day in as unobtrusive a way as possible. I have shot dozens of family portraits and many model portfolios. I have also shot portraits of the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Alison Ndegwa, Debra Sanaipai, Pinky Ghelani, Evans Kidero, the governor of Nairobi as well as international models Ajuma Nasenyana, Giselle Bundchen, Michelle Cuthbert and Eva Ndachi. Companies and entities such as Ericsonn, Scania, USIU, the Solidarity Centre, EASE airline, the US Embassy, Banda school, Futureview Inc, East African Canvas, reports and projects have included for the Solidarity Centre
For several years I worked part time as a travel journalist and photographer for Lady, Presence, Travel News, Safari magazine, Scania World, Going Out Magazine, KTB’s annual magazine and Twende. MNet commissioned me for two years to cover their many events whilst they were operating in Kenya and many other clients have used my services to cover everything from launches to funerals to birthday parties! More recently I have done product and property shots for websites such as Utamaduni, Uniqueco, Karen Country Lodge, Mandharini, Mara Nubian Camp, One Way clothing and various jewelry designers. My real passion lies in photographing weddings and capturing unique places and happenings.
