SB Dada, AI remake: Sensory marketing

SB Dada product photography, AI remake:

We reimagined our SB Dada packshots (from Suzie Wokabi’s 2024 launch) using AI. This was inspired by Rhode’s (beauty co. formerly by Hailey Bieber) sensory marketing aesthetic.

It was an exploration on how we can evoke texture, scent, and mood in product imagery. We honestly really enoyed creating this.

Getting positive feedback from a client never gets old. The dopamine hit can be addictive. It’s also lovely when you get to see your work in use.

We also shot lifestyle shots for the brand. Showing off the product, beautifully cooked & styled food and a gorgeous model in a home setting.

We really enjoyed this shoot. The client was dope, so was the model. After the shoot, we all sat around the dining table and ate the food. It was soooo good, thanks Geena.

We shot two incredible blend of spices for Marwo spices. One blend is made for rice and red meat dishes, the other for pasta & fish/ chicken dishes. We aimed to show some key ingredients in each blend and also, the SKUs available.

We shot the all purpose, portable oven, an air fryer! Our purpose was to shoot the airfryer while highlighting our local dishes. We went for bold visuals as we wanted the images to be vibrant. The question was how do we make the food look good against the airfryer that is significantly larger? Well we experimented...

Avant de créer SBA Studios, j'ai perfectionné mes compétences chez Squad Digital , en tant que gestionnaire de contenu, où j'ai acquis une expérience précieuse en matière de branding, de publicité et de marketing. Cette expérience a joué un rôle déterminant dans l'élaboration de mon approche de la photographie, me permettant de comprendre les nuances de la narration de marque et de les traduire efficacement en contenu visuel convaincant.

Ma passion pour la photographie culinaire et de produits me pousse à explorer, apprendre et affiner continuellement mon métier. Je m'engage à aider les marques à raconter leur histoire à travers des images visuelles époustouflantes, en m'efforçant toujours d'être un partenaire précieux pour les entreprises avec lesquelles je travaille.

Hi! I am Lydia Wahito, a passionate food and product photographer based in Nairobi, Kenya, with a deep love for visual storytelling. In 2019, I co-founded SBA Studios, a creative agency dedicated to helping brands bring their visual imagery to life. A while ago, we shot an inhouse project that was the exploration of Zoe lotions. We chose them because they are part of our daily lives & they smell awesome!

We aimed to show the character of each lotion. For African coco butter, we focused on the softness & how it moisturizes. For floral fantasy, we wanted you to imagine the scent coming from a field of wild flowers. For strawberry kisses, imagine, how a fresh ripe strawberry smells like. Only now, on your skin.

Many thanks to the lovely model, the makeup artist & prop artist for bringing the project to life.
