It was such an honour to meet Lucy Shephard last night at the launch of her wonderful book, Into the Wild: The Making of an Explorer.
It’s a truly inspiring read, and what I love most is that Lucy’s expeditions aren’t just about reaching extraordinary places, they are about teamwork, resilience, curiosity, and exploring some of the last truly wild and undiscovered corners of our planet.
Meeting Lucy and hearing her story has sparked my adventurous spirit again. It reminded me just how much I love getting off the beaten track, embracing the unknown and reconnecting with the wild. The question is… where next for Liv_inthewild?
If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend watching Secret Amazon: Into the Wild and Secret Africa: Into the Wild on Channel 4. They are beautifully made and perfectly capture the spirit of exploration.
