I have watched that CCTV footage of the girls who allegedly lit fire that caused the death of 16 students in Utumishi Academy. It is horrifying and I can not help but feel the pain of the parents who lost their children. One mother almost made me cry when she narrated how she waited for her daughter as other parents were reuniting with theirs, only to realize hers was not coming. That was heart-wrenching.
The easiest and more politically correct thing at this time is to condemn the errant girls and wish them death. I keep wondering though, did they really intend to kill? That would be so evil, callous and wrong. I would ask what happened to their sense of humanity? But what if they did not comprehend the magnitude? Then I feel for them and their parents. Their lives, even without a court decision, is scarred almost forever.

This is a no win/no win situation. Tragic indeed

Dear Lord, thank You for allowing me to awake to yet another beautiful day. I am grateful for the beauty of the sun and Your other creations. Despite sometimes forgetting to proclaim my thanks, I am overjoyed by the wonders around me. Thank You for my life. Thank You for the new month. I pray that You bless this month of June and make it productive. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

That CCTV footage aired on Citizen TV is heart wrenching.
The five rogue students that set Dormitory on fire are obviously possessed by evil spirits...
However, looks like the school had no watchmen, no adults supervising matters at night and no serious oversight.
It is heartbreaking that innocent souls perished....
The adults that run boarding schools....
When we leave children in your hands, and you feel overwhelmed, kindly resign.
Principals.... If you have no idea on social interactions with teachers and staff, tafadhali go home.
I am still in shock.. That CCTV footage is traumatizing. I can't even post it here.
