Here is an image I shot at Zakimi Castle to help an amateur photographer who was struggling to get a good shot of two high school girls in prom dresses. I took the shot, then invited her to duplicate it standing right beside me, using the same camera settings. She was very appreciative.

I need to get back into photography more seriously. I love it, and lots of people can benefit from having their photos taken, or by taking workshops that I give.

Couldn't resist sharing this blossom photo from Nakijin Castle. It's my absolute favorite night photo of cherry blossoms, lit by the lights put out by the festival. The blue in the background is not the post-sunset sky. It's the castle wall lit by blue light.

We went to an awesome cafe last spring and I finally got around to writing a review for Okinawa Heartbeat. This is the perfect place to take a long, lazy lunch in Nanjo City (in Okinawa's south).

Umi no Isukiya is a charming fusion restaurant offering delicious food, a tranquil healing atmosphere and a commanding view of Okinawa's southern ocean.
