Oh my… it’s been a while since I’ve been here 🌼

But what a summer it has been.

Today is the first proper rainy day we’ve had in what feels like three months, and somehow I’m not even mad about it. After what felt like three straight months of rain last winter, maybe the universe decided it owed us one.

And it delivered ☀️

Long days. Blue skies. Warm evenings. Bare feet. Road trips. The sea. Sleeping under the stars. Taking my camera with me and collecting little pieces of it all.

So perhaps this is simply my very late return to this little corner of the internet and a small thank you to the most beautiful British summer I’ve experienced since moving here 13 years ago… don’t think I’ve ever appreciated an English summer quite this much.

Thank you, summer 2026. You were bloody beautiful ✨

And yes… I have approximately three months of photographs to catch up on… should I make it a Summer Series?

I stopped waiting a long time ago.

Because life doesn’t wait for us to be ready…
it just goes by.

And the magic I experience while travelling solo?
It’s something else.

Sacred.
Irreplaceable.
Unforgettable.

That’s where I learn the most about myself.
In those quiet moments, away from everyday chaos,
away from expectations, away from who I’m supposed to be.

That’s not just crossing borders.

That’s crossing my own limitations.

That’s where my spirit feels truly free.

Another year. Another birthday trip.

Not because of the destination.
Not even because of Japan—though I’m deeply grateful for it all.

But because of these rare, quiet moments…
when my nervous system can finally exhale.
When it lets go of survival mode.
When the constant fight or flight softens—even just for a while.

Wearing a kimono for the first time… slowing down, stepping into something so intentional and graceful, it felt like being allowed to just be.
No rush. No pressure. Just presence.

And this year, that’s what I wish for myself the most:
more moments like this.
More peace.
More days where the weight of everything I carry feels just a little lighter.

Friendship that survives distance becomes something else entirely. Not just memories, anchors.

Time passes.
Lives scatter across countries and years.
But some friendships become geography, you return to them, again and again.
No matter how many miles, years, or storms in between, every time:
Same laughter.
Same warmth.
Same feeling of belonging.

Some people aren’t part of your past, they are part of your forever.

Not blood.
But family, all the same.

There was a time I would stay anywhere just to avoid losing people.
Even if it meant losing myself.

Not anymore.

Growth is lonely sometimes.
Healing is uncomfortable.
Choosing yourself will cost you versions of your life that once felt safe.

But the peace on the other side…
is worth every step. 🌾

Not someday. Not later.
Just this light, this breath, this version of us passing through.

Time moves quietly.
Memories don’t ask for perfection — only presence.
So I slow down. I look back. I let the wind mess up my hair and the silence do its work.

Between echoes, this is where I exist.
And I make them count.

No recap. No justifying. Just moving forward like this.

2025 gave me moments of pure joy: carefree laughs, quiet escapes, beautiful places.

And it also gave me things that tested me in ways
I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I carry the lessons.
I keep the gratitude.
And I release everything that drained me.

From here on out,
my energy is sacred.

Peace over explanations.
Joy over survival.
Me, unbothered.

If it costs my peace, I don’t give a f**k 💫

Last year, Christmas looked like this 🤍

After 12 years in the UK, we finally got to spend Christmas together with my family in Poland, laughter, hugs, noise, music, too much food… and memories I’ll carry forever…

This year looks a little different.
No travel. No big table.
Just pyjamas, quiet moments, lots of food and being exactly where we are — and that’s enough too.

Grateful for then.
Grateful for now.
Grateful for family, in every season.

Golden hour on a lava beach feels unreal — like the world softens just for a moment.

Bare feet on volcanic stone, wind in my hair, the sun melting into the horizon.

Here, time slows.

And I remember how it feels to simply be.
