Sensō-ji temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. Sensō-ji was first founded in 628 AD. It's impressive that the temple grounds have been mostly undisturbed despite the growth around it. This picture was taken from the Tokyo Sky Tree.

The Orion Nebula, and a wiser crop with the horse head nebula. These are two crops from the same picture, a very heavy crop. Was a absolutely freezing -10°F last night for these. Was able to get some time on a coworkers Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer. These shots are from an 70-200mmL with 1.4x multiplier @ 280mm and f/5.6 30" exposure. This is from a stack of 20 pictures using deep sky stacker.

Sandhill Cranes in front of the moon just rising at sunset. Taken on my 33rd birthday on my recent trip down to Socorro. It was a beautiful sunset with the moon rising in the background of the lake and we didn't even plan for this. The national parks are national parks for a reason, but take the time to visit our wildlife refuge and state parks. You might even find less crowds.
