Kinda wish I stayed a bit longer and didn’t rush through Dongdaemun. Feels like I missed out on a lot of beautiful moments I could’ve captured.

Captured this photo at Toji Shrine in Kyoto. The bright orange-red torii gate marks the entrance to the sacred grounds, symbolizing the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Passing through it is believed to purify visitors.

To the right of the torii, you can see wooden ema plaques in the background, where visitors write their wishes, prayers, or gratitude. The colorful paper ornaments nearby are likely senbazuru, strings of 1,000 origami cranes, which are often offered for good luck, health, or peace.

The Japanese woman bowing slightly is practicing ojigi, a respectful bow, which is a common gesture of reverence in Japanese culture when visiting a shrine.
