As the garden filled with mist, he chose the perfect moment to ask her to marry him.
They came from Australia for their first trip to Japan together. After three years as a couple, he wanted this journey to become the beginning of their next chapter.
We discussed several locations before choosing this garden in Tokyo — a place that felt quiet, romantic, and almost like stepping into the mountains.
I arrived an hour early to check the mist, the light, and the best spot for the moment.
And when he got down on one knee, her tears said everything.

庭園に霧が広がり始めた、その瞬間。
彼は人生で一番大切な言葉を伝えました。
オーストラリアから日本へ旅行に来られたお二人の、プロポーズを撮影させていただきました。
初めての二人での日本旅行。そして、お付き合いを始めて3年。この旅行で次のステップへ進もうと、彼はずっと考えていたそうです。
最初にお問い合わせをいただいた時は、候補地が4か所ほどありました。それぞれの良い点や気になる点を一緒に相談しながら、最後に選んだのがこの場所でした。
「東京にいるのに、まるで山の中に迷い込んだような雰囲気がある。」
そんな景色が、この特別な瞬間をより印象深いものにしてくれると感じたそうです。
当日は、お二人が到着する1時間前から現地へ。霧の広がり方や、一番綺麗に見える位置、そして自然な流れでプロポーズができるタイミングまで確認して、その瞬間を待ちました。
そして迎えた本番。
膝をついた彼の姿を見た彼女の目には、大粒の涙があふれていました。
こうした人生の大切な瞬間に立ち会えることを、本当に幸せに思います。
