アンジーのNewアー写を撮影させていただきました！

気づけばアンジーとは、かれこれ13年。これまで何度か撮影してきたので、今回を機にちょっと振り返ってみました。写真は最新→昔の順です。

一番最初に会ったのは、彼女がボーカルを務めていたグループ、Carnival Flavorの「Jump Up」のMV撮影のときだったな。私にとって初めて撮影したMVでもあり、真夏の暑い逗子のビーチで撮ったのが懐かしい🥰

ちなみにCarnival Flavorは、カリブ海の音楽ソカをベースに活動していたグループで、当時はソカ発祥の地・トリニダード・トバゴやグレナダなどでも活動していました。

そしてなんと、「Jump Up」のMVが「International SOCA Awards」の日本部門で優勝し、私の名前入りのトロフィーをいただくという奇跡も‼️
8枚目がそのトロフィーの写真です。

アンジーが少しずつ大人になっていく姿を、その時々で写真に残せていることを、とてもありがたく感じます。そして、そのご縁を繋いでくれたまりちゃんにも感謝🙏

最後の写真は、当時生まれたばかりの子どもを抱っこしながら働くまりちゃん。今見ても本当に尊敬する姿です☺️

I recently had the pleasure of shooting Angie’s new artist photos!

It’s hard to believe, but I’ve known Angie for about 13 years now. We’ve worked together several times over the years, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to look back at some of our shoots. The photos go from newest to oldest.

The first time we met was on the set of “Jump Up,” a music video by Carnival Flavor, the group she was singing with at the time. It was also the very first music video I ever shot. I still remember filming it on a super hot summer day at the beach in Zushi.

Carnival Flavor was a group inspired by SOCA, and at the time they were also performing in places like Trinidad & Tobago　and Grenada.

And amazingly, the “Jump Up” music video won the Japan category at the International SOCA Awards, and I even received a trophy with my name on it! You can see it in the 8th photo.

I feel really grateful that I’ve been able to photograph Angie over the years and capture different stages of her life as she’s grown. And a big thank you to Mari-chan for bringing us together in the first place!

The last photo is Mari-chan working while holding her baby, who had just been born at the time. Looking back at it now, I still have so much respect for her☺️
