You know, sometimes I do try to think -- do I spend as much as I do on food locally compared to how much I do when I get to to go abroad?

As I've grown older and have been blessed with more chances to travel, I've only come to accept that I do love all this not because of the discoveries and the sights, but because of how much I just like feeling.... human.

Spending time with my loved ones. People watching. Noticing how different and how similar me and my culture could be to others regardless of where I am. Making memories.

Besides seeing new sights and sceneries for myself, I think now I could say that what makes me happier is seeing the people I love discover these things. I like these kinds of moments I have for myself.

P.S. the food was great, too. I don't think there was a single day I didn't order fried rice. 🤷‍♂️
