福岡アジア美術館でのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスが、昨日無事に終了しました。
長年参加を願っていたプログラムにご縁をいただけたこと、本当に感謝しています。
10年以上前、大学院の授業で後小路先生から福岡アジア美術館やレジデンスについて学んだこと、そして9年前の学芸員研修でお世話になった中尾さんをはじめ、山木さん、蒲池さん、五十嵐さんと今回改めて作品制作をご一緒できたことは、大きな感激でした。さらに、博士論文のときも査読でお世話になった岩永館長には、何度も挨拶に来てくださり、心より御礼申し上げます。
レジデンス専門員の藤井さんの温かなご配慮、学芸員の泉田さんからの美味しい梨やチャプチェの差し入れ、そして通訳のミドリさんの素晴らしいサポート。本当にありがとうございました。インストーラーの津田さんには、作品の骨格を支える装置を制作していただき、深く感謝しています。さらに、コーディネーターの牧園さん、かおるさん、ももちゃん、いつも笑顔で支えてくださり、本当に救われました。たくさんのアイスコーヒーを差し入れてくださった玉井さんにも感謝いたします。
また、九産大の百瀬先生にはプリントの件で無理なお願いを聞いていただき、誠にありがとうございました。助手の松村くんや高田さんにも、何日も制作を手伝っていただき、感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
成果展の準備にあたっても、私の「やりたいこと」を第一に尊重し、背中を押してくださった皆様に心から感謝しています。A0サイズのクリアペーパーに88枚プリントして吊るす案や、会場を全面暗幕で覆う案は、予算や人員を考えるとためらいもありましたが、「やるなら大きく」「暗幕は全面に貼った方がいい」と後押ししてくださった中尾さんのおかげで、思い切って挑戦することができました。本当にありがとうございました。
アーティストは時に、予算や環境、技術的制約のために「本当にやりたいこと」を諦めざるを得ません。今回はそのすべてを、一人ひとりのご支援によって実現することができました。改めて心からお礼申し上げます。
また、展示を見に来てくださった皆さまにも、心より感謝申し上げます。
そして、一緒にレジデンスに参加したウィリーとフォティック。たくさん語り合い、支え合いながら作品を作り上げることができたのは、大きな喜びでした。この二人と同じ時期に参加できたことは本当に幸運であり、福岡県民として福岡に来てくれたことを心から嬉しく思います。
皆さま、本当にありがとうございました。

The Artist-in-Residence program at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum successfully came to an end yesterday.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to take part in this program, which I had long hoped to join.
More than ten years ago, I first learned about FAAM and its residency program in a graduate school class taught by Professor Ushirokoji. Nine years ago, I also had the chance to work as a curatorial trainee at the museum. To once again create artworks together this time with Mr. Nakao, Ms. Yamaki, Ms. Kamachi, and Ms. Igarashi—who supported me during that training—was a deeply moving experience. I am also sincerely thankful to Director Iwanaga, who had also kindly served as a reviewer for my doctoral dissertation and came many times during the residency to greet me.
My heartfelt thanks go to Residency Coordinator Ms.Fujii for his warm support, to Curator Ms. Izumida for her thoughtful gifts of delicious pears and japchae, and to Ms. Midori, our interpreter, for her wonderful assistance. I am also very grateful to Mr. Tsuda, the installer, who built the structures that formed the backbone of my work. Furthermore, coordinators Ms. Makizono, Ms. Kaoru, and Ms. Momo always supported me with their smiles, which was truly uplifting. I would also like to thank Mr. Tamai for generously bringing us so much iced coffee.
I am equally grateful to Professor Momose of Kyushu Sangyo University for accepting my difficult requests regarding printing, and to assistants Mr. Matsumura and Ms. Takada, who tirelessly helped me for many days with the production process.
During the preparation for the exhibition, everyone respected my vision and encouraged me to pursue it wholeheartedly. Printing 88 A0-size works on clear film and suspending them, as well as covering the entire venue with blackout curtains, initially felt daunting given the budget and staffing. Yet thanks to Mr. Nakao, who encouraged me by saying, “If you do it, do it big,” and “Yes, it’s better to cover the whole space with curtains,” I was able to take the leap. I am truly grateful for that support.
Artists are often forced to compromise on what they truly wish to create due to limitations of budget, environment, or technical issues. This time, I was able to realize all of my ideas thanks to the incredible support of each and every one of you. I would like to express my deepest gratitude once again.
I am also sincerely thankful to all those who came to see the exhibition.
Lastly, to my fellow residents Willie and Fatiq—thank you for all the conversations we shared and the mutual support we gave each other while creating our works. It was such a joy and a blessing to participate in the residency at the same time as you. As a Fukuoka resident, I was also truly happy that you came here and created your works in this city.

福岡亞洲美術館的駐館藝術家計劃，於昨日圓滿結束。
能夠參與這個多年以來一直嚮往的計劃，我心中充滿感謝。
十多年前，我在研究所課程中由後小路教授的講授，第一次了解到福岡亞洲美術館及其駐館計劃。九年前，我也曾在該館接受過策展實習的培訓。能夠再次與當時照顧我的中尾先生、山木女士、蒲池女士、五十嵐女士一起創作，讓我深受感動。同時，也特別感謝岩永館長女士，她在我博士論文時曾擔任審稿人，這次駐館期間還多次前來致意，令我倍感溫暖。
非常感謝駐館專員藤井女士的貼心支持、學藝員泉田女士贈送的美味梨子與雜菜炒粉絲，以及翻譯 Midori 的精彩協助。也誠摯感謝裝置人員津田先生，為作品製作了承載骨架的重要裝置。此外，協調員牧園先生、Kaoru、Momo，總是以笑容支持我，真的讓我受到很大的鼓舞。還要感謝玉井先生，多次為我們帶來冰咖啡。
另外，衷心感謝九產大的百瀨教授，接受了我在輸出印刷上的許多困難要求；也感謝助理松村先生與高田女士，連續多日協助我完成輸出與製作，令我心懷感激。
在成果展的準備過程中，大家都尊重並支持我「真正想做的事」。將 88 張 A0 尺寸的透明紙輸出並懸掛，以及將整個會場以黑幕覆蓋，考量到預算與人力，原本讓我有所猶豫。然而，因為中尾先生一句「既然要做，就要做到最大」與「黑幕最好全面覆蓋」，我才能下定決心去挑戰。真的非常感謝他的支持。
藝術家往往因為預算、環境或技術上的限制，而不得不放棄「真正想表達的東西」。這一次，能夠實現所有的想法，全都要歸功於在場每一位給予我支持的人。在此再次由衷致謝。
同時，也要感謝所有前來觀展的朋友們。
最後，特別感謝一同參與駐館的 Willie 與 Fatiq。能夠和你們交流、互相支持，共同完成作品，是莫大的喜悅與幸福。能與你們在同一時期參與駐館計劃，是我的幸運。作為一位福岡人，我也由衷高興你們來到這座城市，並在此創作。
