The Japan I’m most interested in is the Japan off the beaten path. After travelling to all 47 prefectures, I guess that’s all that’s left!

Kyoto is one of my all-time fave places to shoot. In any season, in any weather, it’s always a beauty.
Move past the crowds and you’ll find a city that’s quiet in more streets than it’s busy, more serene than it is chaos, and way more peaceful than it is to the normal tourist.
The deeper you dig into this city and prefecture, the more it rewards you.
