Lo scarico del treno è quasi terminato, mancano ancora pochi carri e ritornerà vuoto ad Empoli con in testa, questa vola, la D345 nei cologi giusti.
Dovrebbe mancare ancora parecchio alla ripartenza, quasi quasi vado a perlustrare in zona...

The train is almost unloaded, with just a few carriages left, and it will return empty to Empoli, led by the D345 in the right compartments this time.
It should still be a while before it leaves again, so I'm tempted to go and scout around...

Se aguzzate la vista, e vi ricordate un post di qualche giorno fa, potete vedere quel meraviglioso ponticello in mattoni, alla radice ovest della stazione.
Sempre nel 2023 l'ho voluto immortalare con l'ennesimo passaggio del bubbolo 1143.

If you look closely and remember a post from a few days ago, you can see that wonderful little brick bridge at the western edge of the station.
In 2023, I also wanted to immortalize it with yet another passage of the 1143 bubbolo.

La manovra di spinta continua, permettendo al contempo di scaricare i coils dai carri, tramite apposite gru gommate con uncino di acciaio.
Fa caldissimo, ma il piacere della manovre allieta questi momenti infernali nel catino centro-toscano

The pushing maneuver continues, allowing the coils to be unloaded from the wagons using special rubber-tired cranes with steel hooks.
It's scorching hot, but the pleasure of maneuvering cheers up these hellish moments in the central Tuscan basin.

In questo scatto dell'aprile del 2023 si può notare ancora di più la bellezza della stazione.
Quando ancora giravano i bubboli sulla Empoli - Siena ed i soci fotografi oziavano sulla panchina anzichè fotografare!

In this shot from April 2023, the station's beauty is even more evident.
When the buzz was still going around on the Empoli-Siena line, and the photographer mates were lounging on the benches instead of taking pictures!

Cancello aperto, la D345 in coda viene spenta ( per evitare di affumicare tutta la fabbrica ) e la D445 in testa inizia lentamente a spingere la consistente teoria di carri sellati telonati.
Piccola telata dove si può ammirare la bellezza del fabbricato viaggiatori di Castellina Monteriggioni, con ancora le vecchie lettere in ceramica che compongono la scritta identificativa dello scalo.

The gate is open, the D345 at the rear is turned off (to avoid smoking out the entire factory), and the D445 at the front slowly begins to push the large line of saddled canvas wagons.
A small canvas area where you can admire the beauty of the Castellina Monteriggioni passenger building, still featuring the old ceramic letters that identify the station.

La coppia di dieseloni è arrivata a Castellina Scalo, entrando sul terzo binario, permettendo quindi la retrocessione nel brevissimo raccordo della Siderurgica Fiorentina.

The pair of diesel locomotives arrived at Castellina Scalo, entering the third track, thus allowing them to revert to the very short Siderurgica Fiorentina link road.

Ed eccolo qua il trenazzo quasi inaspettato, in tutta la sua lunghezza. Zoomando in fondo si vede anche il D345 nei giusti colori.

Cioè questo famigerato treno, ripreso in punta del marciapiede della stazione di Granaiolo, tra una lampada a cetra cadente e la somma desolazione del fù zuccherificio dismesso

Taaaac!
Finalmente sto benedetto Castellina di Mir, con la D445 1033 in testa e la D345 1044 in coda.
Avevamo provato a fotografarlo 2 anni prima ma era in giro solo il treno di DB Cargo, ma ora è qui davanti!

No ok, calma. Sono sempre a Staggia, mattina, esterno giorno, cappello da pescatore, borraccia Decathlon da 1 litro con acqua fresca e Nikon al collo.
Chissà cosa sto aspettando?
