Have you ever wondered what your childhood would be like if you couldn't see? If you slowly started forgetting what things feel like or their texture, what a human body feels and looks like and all you saw were shadows or blackness.
That's why I decided to give people with disabilities a platform. I want us to understand the behind the scenes of everything that is created and everything that is given to them to allow them to have the same experience us 'normal' people do. This center in Torino which has a lot of different types of classes( which you can volunteer to helpout) is there to create children's books in 3d Form. So that they have the opportunity to feel and still 'read' the story in their own way. They are able to feel the figures and the texture or grass and trees. This center is there to give the children the most real experience, using materials that are very similar to the texture of objects and clothing that we have in our real work. Grass is created by using a special paper which when you run your hands through it you can hear the same sound that grass makes when you brush it with your hands. The human figures are given knees and shoulders so that they can be identified as humans. So please if you are interested in helping out go and volunteer for any cause you believe in. .
