TRAVEL – Winners' Shortlist Announced! ✈️🌍

We are proud to unveil the Winners' Shortlist of TRAVEL – An Atlas of Stories, Places and Faces, the international open call by Exhibit Around APS dedicated to the many meanings of travel.

📸 114 photographers have been selected for their ability to capture the extraordinary diversity of our planet: from bustling cities to remote deserts, from complex urban environments to breathtaking natural landscapes. Through their images, travel becomes experience, encounter, discovery and transformation.

Congratulations to all the shortlisted photographers! 👏🥳

⭐ This edition's Guest of Honour is Stefano Miarabella, an acclaimed Italian photographer whose work spans social documentary and street photography.

Based in Rome, Mirabella has spent years photographing across Asia and the Middle East, developing a unique visual language rooted in observation and human connection.

Winner of the Leica Talent Award 2014, he currently teaches at Officine Fotografiche Roma and is a member of the Leica Akademie faculty.

Artist Spotlight with Marina D**o 📸

Marina D**o is an Italian photographer and artist who lived in London for many years. After a career in the fashion industry, she chose to embrace a new perspective and dedicate herself to photography, embarking on a creative journey shaped by images, stories and a deep curiosity about the world around her. ✨

In this interview, Marina shares her artistic journey and the inspiration behind her series Animal Cosmo.

Created during her travels across South America, from the Amazon rainforest to Patagonia, the project explores animals not simply as photographic subjects, but as symbolic figures: spirits, messengers and meaningful presences deeply rooted in local Indigenous cultures.

Animal Cosmo was featured in URBAN ANIMALS, the international Exhibit Around project presented at Trieste Photo Days 2025.

🏆 𝐌𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐕𝐈 - 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝! 🏆

We are excited to reveal the names of the photographers shortlisted for Mythography VI, the sixth volume of the photography and publishing series conceived by Exhibit Around and curated by 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐚, Professor of Greek Literature at the University of Pisa.

Once again, this year's authors have successfully engaged with a complex and fascinating theme: the duality between Jupiter and Bacchus, order⚡️and chaos💥

From among the finalists, the Best Author and the Honorable Mentions will be selected and awarded during Trieste Photo Days 2026 (October 23–25). On that occasion, Mythography VI will be officially presented alongside the collective exhibition hosted at Magazzino 26.

🌟 This year, the project is further enriched by the involvement of an extraordinary guest: 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬, founding member of VII Photo Agency and one of the most influential and acclaimed photojournalists of the past four decades.

His participation brings significant value to Mythography, contributing the experience, sensitivity, and vision of one of the leading figures in contemporary photography.

The photograph "IL PESO DELLA LEGGE" by Marco Bianchetti is among those selected for the photography book Mythography Vol. VI! 📖📸

A body devoid of will is held by a force that does not fully reveal itself.
The grip is not violent, but irrevocable: the mannequin hangs like a sentence already pronounced.

Jupiter manifests here as a power that has no need to explain itself, an authority that governs bodies through mere suspension, leaving them in a state of silent obedience.
