The majestic Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Europe. It lies in Vatnajökull National Park, made up of water, fire and ice, due to the presence of ten volcanoes, eight of which are subglacial, and two of these are between the most active in Iceland.
As all the other glaciers on Earth, it's sadly melting at high speed.

Vatnajökull, la calotta glaciale più estesa dell'Europa. Si trova nell'omonimo parco nazionale, il parco di "acqua, fuoco e ghiaccio", grazie alla presenza di dieci vulcani, otto dei quali subglaciali. Due di questi sono tra i più attivi d'Islanda.
Così come gli altri ghiacciai, si sta inesorabilmente sciogliendo a ritmi sostenuti.
