- At the last breath -
This photo reminds me that it is important not to give up, even when it seems the most mature choice, even when you are in the middle of a storm. There will come a time when there will be an opportunity, it will last very little and you will have to be ready.

I was in an inland area of Norway, the heavy rain and the completely overcast sky made me stop waiting for sunset which was only 20 minutes away. During my stay on the spot I had studied 3 different spots. I decide to give up and I walk on the path of return, after a short time I see a ray of light that filters shy between the mountains, so I started running back, I had no time to go back to the spot planned just before. I see the light reflecting on the wet rock and decide, in an instant, to use the grain of the rock as a foreground. Maybe it’s not the shot I had planned, but I like it, it means a lot what is behind and above all it is a condition not easy to find.

In a world that runs so fast, too many times we forget to have patience.

- Signs of reborth -
It seems an infinite time since that May 2023, where aboard a small Cessna I explored from above the volcanic valleys of Iceland and the immense glaciers of this beautiful island.
Life shaped by destruction, a continuous symbol of rebirth.

- First fire -
After 2 days of our arrival, the first beautiful light finally breaks out on the maesatose peaks of the Lofoten islands.

- Hope -

The first day we set foot in Valmalenco, in August 2023, the bad weather was immediately felt, in fact at the border with Switzerland we were forced to give up Cime Fontana and take refuge at the bivouac Anghileri Rusconi. The next two days were an alternation of sun and bad weather, which made it difficult to reach our goal: Punta Marinelli, where we wanted to spend the night in a tent.
Two days later we succeeded, the sky opened and the clouds embraced all the peaks letting the light filter. A show that left me speechless.
Uncertainty, hope and wonder, the mountain is also this.

- First lady -

After several failed attempts in Iceland, I finally managed to witness and photograph a fantastic Northern Lights. Not bad as first time to the Lofoten islands.

- Winter's Whisper -
A small pool of water in the middle of Foce Cardeto has frozen during last December, creating these interesting forms under the surface of the ice.

The night in the tent at the base of Punta Marinelli was refreshing, even if very cold. It was the first days of August 2024 and after 2 days of bad weather and one full sun, that evening, on the Bernina group and where we were, it snowed, bringing down the temperatures against all predictions. In the morning, despite being very cold, the sunrise gave us a unique show, the clouds modelled every single piece of rock in the mountains and the light that filtered made the atmosphere magical, a magic that only the mountain can give.
