Ci sono matrimoni che mi portano dall'altra parte del mondo. E poi ci sono quelli che mi riportano a casa.

Negli ultimi anni ho avuto il privilegio di raccontare l'amore di coppie provenienti da ogni parte del mondo, tutte accomunate dal desiderio di vivere la loro storia nella mia splendida Sicilia. Ma ogni tanto succede qualcosa di speciale: torno a fotografare casa.

Quello di Luigi e Carla è stato uno di quei giorni. Un matrimonio vissuto con il cuore, autentico, intenso. È stato un privilegio raccontarlo.

Fotografare matrimoni in tutto il mondo è un privilegio. Ma tornare a casa e riuscire ancora a emozionarmi come il primo giorno è qualcosa che non darò mai per scontato.

There are weddings that take me to the other side of the world. And then there are those that bring me back home.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting the love stories of couples from all over the world, all drawn by the desire to celebrate their wedding in my beautiful Sicily. But every now and then, something truly special happens: I get to photograph home again.

Luigi and Carla’s wedding was one of those days. A celebration filled with genuine emotion, authenticity, and heartfelt moments. It was a true privilege to tell their story.

Photographing weddings around the world is an incredible privilege. But coming home and still feeling the same emotion I felt on my very first wedding is something I will never take for granted.
