Portraits of songs. Crystallize by Lindsey Stirling
Have you ever thought about taking a picture of a song?
Because of my love for photography and for music, I have been wondering for some time about it and the result is the “Portraits of songs” project, whose aim is not to transmit “only” intrinsic mood of the song but to represent the song itself, like a fingerprint or, better, a portrait.
To obtain this result, I discarded the most obvious answers, like the Sound wave, or photographing the artist or his/her instrument during his/her performances . Instead, I have immortalized the movements of the water due to the sound waves of that particular melody, a series of shots along the entire song; then I have combined them so to create a final image.

Avete mai pensato di fare una foto a una canzone?
Considerato il mio amore per la fotografia e che la musica è qualcosa a cui non posso rinunciare, me lo sono chiesto per un po ‘di tempo e il risultato è il progetto “Portraits of songs” il cui obiettivo non è trasmettere “solo” lo stato d’animo intrinseco della canzone ma rappresentare la canzone stessa, come un’impronta digitale o, meglio, un ritratto.
Per ottenere questo risultato ho scartato le risposte più ovvie, che siano la Sound wave, il fotografare l’artista durante le sue performance o il suo strumento, immortalando piuttosto i movimenti dell’acqua dovuti alle onde sonore di quella particolare melodia, una serie di scatti lunga tutto il brano e unendole ho creato un’immagine finale.
