These specific birds are part of the Muriwai Gannet Colony about an hour from Auckland, New Zealand. The walk to see the colony is easy and gorgeous! They are there from August to April nesting and hatching chicks 🐣

They were part of my kickstart journey into being bird obsessed. For all the budding bird lovers and those who’ve already joined the club, take note 🦅

And honestly, so what if I did 💁🏼‍♀️

Here are a few shots I always try to get while I’m traveling 👇🏻
-Me (duh)
-A wide viewpoint of where I am
-Layers on layers (this could be mountains, buildings, plants, boats, etc.)
-Food & Drinks
-The people I’m with/people in the location
-Any colors that catch my eye
-And the non-negotiable, a cat 🤪

Of course these don’t always happen and/or I add a few things to this list, but this helps me find the variety and leave a destination with a well rounded collection of images.

What are your non-negotiable photos when you travel?

A quiet day in the sun (and storms) in New Zealand 🇳🇿

It’s easy to find the wild adventures in New Zealand and equally as easy to live slow and watch the light change throughout the day.

I haven’t put my finger on it, and who knows if I ever will, but there is something so unique about New Zealand. I think you should go and feel what I mean 👀

Would you visit NZ for the adventures or some relaxing?

Who wants to play princesses? 👸🏼

A little over one year ago I joined 9 of my internet friends at a castle in a small town in the Italian countryside called Mornese. We were there for 10 year vow renewal and celebrated in so many ways!

And found more than a few other things to celebrate and do 👀

What’s there not to like really? 🛳️✨

I’ll never forget this cruise from Iceland to Norway! I didn’t even know it was an option and when I got the opportunity, I said “SEND IT!” Warm weather cruises in the Mediterranean or Caribbean are cool but don’t write off these cooler destinations. I saw loads of wildlife, stunning nature, and did enjoyed every part of the onboard life that I could.

They said this city in Italy wasn’t worth the stop… 👀

So naturally, I had to see for myself 🤭 we climbed the stunning Duomo di Milano, stood in awe of The Last Supper, and ate very well along the way 🍝✨

The island no one told you about!

I was so surprised by Naxos after visiting some more popular islands. This place was quiet, much cheaper (I could have shared a dorm with 7 people for the price I paid for the hotel), and the adventures were endless.
