E loro hanno riso. Tanto.
Con quella complicità che non ha bisogno di essere costruita, perché si vede nei gesti, negli sguardi, nel modo in cui ci si cerca in mezzo agli altri.

Una giornata piena di luce, famiglia, amici e felicità senza troppe pose.

Perché alla fine, le fotografie più belle sono quasi sempre quelle in cui ci si dimentica della macchina fotografica.

Borgo del Convento, on the hills above Soverato: a monastery founded in 1492, abandoned after the earthquake of 1783, brought back stone by stone. The church next to it never got its roof back — so they said yes under open sky, surrounded by olive trees older than anyone in the room.

Their friends came expecting Italy. They found Calabria. The real one, not the postcard version. Olive groves running down toward the Ionian sea, stone fountains, a cloister that has been holding celebrations for five centuries.

A day like this only looks effortless because someone made it so. Every table, every timing, every plate: Angela Manfredi and her team took care of it all. We just had to keep up.

Erica & Gennaro, thank you for bringing us into your family for a day. Boston to Petrizzi, and back again with something you can’t pack in a suitcase.

Carlo and Martina are just a few days away from becoming husband and wife.

Before the vows, the celebrations and all the beautiful chaos of their wedding day, I wanted them to slow down and discover one of Calabria’s most evocative corners: the ancient fortress of Le Castella, rising from the Ionian Sea.

We walked along the coast as the light softened, with the warm stone behind them and the horizon opening in front of them. No forced poses, no rush—just two people enjoying the quiet before a brand-new chapter begins.

Sometimes Calabria doesn’t need an introduction. You simply have to let the sea, the wind and centuries of history tell the story.

Some weddings ask you to photograph beauty.
Others ask you to stay close, to listen, to wait for the right silence.

Saverio and Chiara’s wedding was one of those stories.

From the first moments of the morning, there was something intimate in the air: the dress hanging quietly, the details waiting to be touched, the people moving around Chiara with care, laughter and a little emotion hidden behind every gesture.

Then came the ceremony.
The entrance, the eyes, the hands, the promise.

As a photographer, I always look for what happens between the obvious moments.
Not only the kiss, not only the portraits, not only the perfect light.
I look for the breath before a smile, the way someone holds a hand, the child laughing in the church, the small tenderness that usually disappears if you are not paying attention.

With Saverio and Chiara, everything felt honest.

By the sea, they became lighter.
At Tenuta Klopè, the evening became celebration.
Music, embraces, fireworks, cake, smoke, dancing, and that beautiful kind of chaos that makes a wedding truly alive.

This is not just a collection of photographs.
It is the story of two people who lived their day fully, surrounded by the people they love.

And I had the privilege of turning it into memory.

Ci sono giorni che non hanno bisogno di essere spiegati.

Si riconoscono dalla luce.
Dai gesti piccoli.
Da una mano che cerca l’altra.
Da uno sguardo che dice casa, anche lontano da casa.

Aleandra e Salvatore hanno vissuto il loro matrimonio come una storia semplice e piena: l’attesa, la promessa, la gioia degli abbracci, il silenzio di certi momenti solo loro.

Aprile, Tenuta Klopè, il mare sullo sfondo e quella luce che arriva piano, come se sapesse esattamente dove posarsi.

At Blu 70, the Calabrian coastline did what it does best: it stayed quietly dramatic in the background, while everything else became pure cinema.

The sea, the rocks, the white florals, the soft linen, the chandeliers glowing over the tables, the wind moving through the ceremony, the vintage car by the water, and then the night: lights, music, dancing, fireworks, friends, laughter, chaos, beauty.

A wedding with Mediterranean soul and editorial elegance.
Intimate, wild, refined.
Exactly the kind of celebration that does not need to shout to be remembered.
