This encounter was one of the highlights of my September in Abruzzo during the 2026 red deer rutting season 🦌🐺

Every encounter with a wolf feels truly unique and unforgettable…I’m so grateful to have had the chance to experience another moment like this in the wild this year 🐺😍

Probably one of the greatest photographic satisfactions I’ve ever had😍
Seeing and photographing a Marsican brown bear in the wild is incredibly rare: the kind of encounter you can hope for for years without ever knowing if it will actually happen😍😍🐻
After spending so much time in the Abruzzo National Park, searching, waiting and walking countless kilometres, I finally had my chance
A brief encounter, but definitely one I’ll never forget🐻

The first calls and the sound of clashing antlers. The fallow deer rut is almost here 🍂

These days, the first bucks can already be heard calling, and antlers are clashing in the rutting arenas🤩

This little bird is almost impossible to find! 🤯
Trust me… it blends perfectly with the rocks, and in winter? It turns completely white, becoming almost invisible against the snow 🫪
So… are we talking about a chameleon or a ptarmigan? 😂❄️
