[in italiano sotto] for some of us taking a photo cannot avoid to make a little more creative visione of the subject being shot. not for the habit of surprising or looking for a special effect, not at all, but rather for the inability to tell something in a completely neutral manner without including the emotion felt in finding yourself in front of a vision that prompts you to take a photograph

[italiano] per alcuni fotografare non può esimere dal rendere una visione un po' più creativa del soggetto ripreso. non per il vezzo di stupire o di cercare l'effetto speciale, affatto, quanto piuttosto per l'incapacità di raccontare neutralmente un qualcosa evitando di includere l'emozione provata nel trovarsi avanti una visione che ci spinge a scattare una fotografia.

[in italiano sotto] I thought that certain photography feeds on what is hidden as well as what is shown. In fact, when observing a photo, the eyes do only half of the work, the rest is entrusted to our mind which tries to reconstruct what is around that scene, in all the angles that the lens that the lens fails - that does not want - to frame. - Luca

Pensavo che certa fotografia si nutre di ciò che viene celato al pari di ciò che viene mostrato. Nell'osservare una foto infatti gli occhi fanno solo metà del lavoro, il resto è affidato alla nostra mente che prova a ricostruire quello che c'è attorno a quella scena, in tutti gli angoli che l'obiettivo non riesce - non vuole - inquadrare. - Luca

[In italiano sotto] For Nature - As if they were oil paints, nature paints the trees and leaves, paints the turf, the light and the shadows. As if they were musical notes, it creates the sound of wind, streams, animals, thunder. Every single element painted and created by nature has a soul and releases emotions and feelings, it is up to us human beings to grasp its essence, consequently it will improve the perception of our life.

Per Natura - Come fossero colori ad olio, la natura dipinge gli alberi e le foglie, dipinge il manto erboso, la luce e le ombre. Come fossero note musicali crea il suono del vento, dei ruscelli, degli animali, dei tuoni. Ogni singolo elemento dipinto e creato dalla natura ha un'anima e sprigiona emozioni e sentimenti, sta a noi esseri umani coglierne l'essenza, di conseguenza migliorerà la percezione della nostra vita.

Nature Prison
[In italiano sotto] The civilization we live in is full of appearances and discrepancies. We are made to believe that we are free, but in reality we are trapped and trapped in the selfishness and greed of the human being, in the unbridled and excessive use of technology, without ideals to follow. In nature we feel free even when we are apparently trapped in the woods, far from everything that is not everyday. The forest is life.
La civiltà in cui viviamo è piena di apparenze e discordanze. Ci si fa credere di essere liberi, ma in realtà siamo intrappolati ed ingabbiati nell'egoismo ed ingordigia dell'essere umano, nell'utilizzo sfrenato ed eccessivo della tecnologia, senza ideali da seguire. In natura ci si sente liberi anche quando in apparenza siamo intrappolati nel bosco, distante da tutto ciò che non è quotidiano. Il bosco è vita.

The undulating motion of the waves brings us back tothe profound sense of the breath of life, of the phases that naturally follow one another. Fragile
[In italiano sotto] Every moment passed is unrepeatable, that's why when I'm in nature I try to enjoy every moment, in my time and without haste. And it is this attention that makes me discover small corners and small worlds hidden in the great landscape, which I immortalize through my photographic vision. The human being is too used to observing to a great extent, but in nature the great strength, as well as the fragility, is observed above all in the small glimpses and in the depths of the landscape.

Ogni attimo trascorso è irripetibile, ecco perché quando sono in natura cerco di godermi ogni istante, nel mio tempo e senza fretta. Ed è quest'attenzione che mi fa scoprire piccoli angoli e piccoli mondi nascosti nel gran paesaggio, che immortalo attraverso la mia visione fotografica. L'essere umano è troppo abituato ad osservare in gran misura, ma in natura la grande forza, come anche la fragilità, la si osserva sopratutto nei piccoli scorci e nelle profondità del paesaggio.

[In italiano sotto] As a musician sometimes I would like my photos to bring with them the sounds present at the moment of shooting. The rustle of leaves carried by the wind, the lapping of the sea on the shore or the gurgle of a stream. Yet the absence of sound in this photo has perhaps succeeded in realizing this audiovisual condition of the moment of the shot: the unreal dampening of every sound that only a snowy landscape can achieve. - Luca

Da musicista certe volte vorrei che le foto portassero con sé i suoni presenti al momento dello scatto. Il fruscio delle foglie trasportate dal vento, lo sciabordio del mare sulla riva o il gorgoglio di un ruscello. Eppure l’assenza di suono in questa foto è forse riuscito a realizzare questa condizione audiovisiva del momento dello scatto: lo smorzamento irreale di ogni suono che solo un paesaggio innevato riesce a realizzare. - Luca

Other life

[In italiano sotto] A year ago Covid in Italy forced me, like most nature photographers, not to enjoy my landscapes and the best moment of the spring season. This year things are not so much better, but for work I am able to move and continue my photographic projects. It makes me strange to think of finding ourselves in a new way of seeing and interpreting life, new rules that darken our mood, while our hopes seem to be constantly swept away by this wind of restlessness and terror that makes us inadequate. It seems to have been catapulted into another life, another dimension, where everything has changed except nature, irreplaceable anchor for our thoughts.

Un anno fa il Covid in Italia mi ha costretto, come la maggior parte dei fotografi di natura, a non godere dei miei paesaggi e del momento migliore della stagione primaverile. Quest'anno le cose non vanno tanto meglio, ma per lavoro riesco a spostarmi e continuare i miei progetti fotografici. Mi fa strano pensare di ritrovarci in un nuovo modo di vedere ed interpretare la vita, nuove regole che incupiscono il nostro stato d'animo, mentre le nostre speranze sembrano essere costantemente spazzate via da questo vento di inquietudine e terrore che ci rende inadeguati . Sembra di essere stati catapultati in un'altra vita, un'altra dimensione, dove tutto è cambiato tranne la natura, insostituibile ancora di salvezza per i nostri pensieri.

Hugs

[In italiano sotto] Nothing protects you more than a hug, its strength releases warmth and well-being. A hug solves what words fail to do, the most infallible means of benevolent communication between us human beings. In these rocks I saw two bodies hugging each other, while the flowing of the waters is comparable to the passing of time, but a hug does not take this into account, because its strength is so immense that it can freeze the seconds.

Niente ti protegge più di un abbraccio, la sua forza sprigiona calore e benessere. Un abbraccio risolve ciò che le parole non riescono a fare, il più infallibile mezzo di comunicazione benevole tra noi esseri umani. In queste rocce ho rivisto due corpi abbracciarsi l'uno con l'altro, mentre lo scorrere delle acque è equiparabile allo scorrere del tempo, ma un abbraccio non ne tiene conto, perché la sua forza è così immensa da riuscire a congelare i secondi.
