Steven Webber Photography

Steven Webber Photography Here is a growing list of images I have captured over the years. I have been tinkering with Photography since I was a kid. Thank you.

I have always tried to compose great shots from whatever equipment I've had with me. From the darkroom in high school, to the lightroom on my Mac. I will continue to shoot, learn, and share my photographs with anyone who enjoys them.

With the window closing on being able to photograph Neowise. And a little motivation from Michael Torkildsen, We ventured out to find a spot. It was good to get out and photograph such a cool celestial event. It just might be the last great comet in our lifetime!

This image is from my most recent trip to Death Valley. Let me tell you how much more pleasant this place is in November as opposed to June. I attempted these Dunes in June a year ago and it was 128 degrees that day! Now, my hike was closer to sunset so it was a little cooler at 125. And I swear the wind was over 200. I don't think I've ever felt so vulnerable in all my life. November temps of 90 seemed like a cakewalk. This scene was a very reactive scene, i had scouted for about two hours for a composition that was looking very promising with the cloud formations starting to happen. I was set up and waiting for magic when i realized it wasn't going to happen. All that beautiful light just disappeared. My spot was no longer. Up to the north I could see the clouds loading up with cotton candy colors but i had no spot. I didn't expect this to be the direction of interest. Luckily I had hiked so far out into the dunes that nobody else had been wondering about and the sand to the north was untouched. I found this little swirl of textures with a the light kissing the sides of the dunes. the sky color lasted a few moments longer but the dune light went flat a few seconds after I captured this. Sometimes we scout for hours looking for something unique and its more often than not the quick find and shoot images that become our most favorite!

Thought id give this a shot, didn't know it was going to be a popularity contest for votes. such is life!

"Lago d'Antorno"
One of the destinations on my Italian road trip led me by this little lake. With a great view of Italys Tre Cime, and Cadini di Misurina mountain ranges, I decided to stay for sunrise. to my surprise only one other photographer made it here before me, which made battling for a composition a mute point.

"Alabama Hills"
It took some electrical tape, a hose clamp, couple gallons of coolant and some Macgyvering to get here and walking around an un-scouted desert like location at night was a little freaky! but all in all i found this place remarkable. Ill have to go back to truly explore what this place has to offer.

“Alvord”
It never ceases to amaze me the diverse landscapes the northwest has to offer. Each offering a unique experience. Alvord was an extraterrestrial experience with so many stars you could hardly make out the constellations.
