Morning stroll around the countryside.
It was -3°C, the grass was crispy in its white diamond dress, the air was still and clear, and even if I was freezing, I've felt full of energy and awe. That subtle beauty of my countryside, with immense skies, tenuous colours, the far white mountains faded in pink mist. It's not maybe for everyone to catch it, but I feel it deep in my bones.

RuralEmilia is a project I’ve been working on since five or six years.

I would like to witness the cohexistance of old rural landscapes in my area and incoming new industrial or housing areas. Old homes and new villas. Old ways and new ways. I know the old is quickly disappearing, I am 43 years old and the landscapes and ways I used to see when I was a child are simply fading away, even though some still hang on.

This post is about the lovely light and clouds that this morning welcomed me.

So sorry I've been away from the page for so long. I had some health issues and a busy time at work so I endend in being out of creativity for a while.

I am not travelling far from home yet, I really would like to plan a holiday but I have to wait another bit.
So I wander around the countryside around my hometown.

I love this time of the year: fields ar golden of ripe wheat, cicadas and crickets are a constant subtle soundtrack, the sun burns bright during the day but sunsets are gentle and warm, like a granny's blanket.

In the next day I promise I will post the pictures I've recently taken.
