Velvet season.
A silent presence moving through the green shadows of the forest.
For a few moments, the woods seemed to slow down completely. No sound except quiet steps and the soft movement of grass while this stag calmly fed in the morning light.
These encounters are never just about photography.

Today is Earth Day.
I found this male Stag beetle in the forest, almost hidden, easy to overlook.
But its presence says a lot more than it seems.
Species like this are bioindicators of forest health.
They depend on old trees, deadwood, and all those quiet processes that keep the ecosystem alive.
As Peter Wohlleben describes, a forest is not just a place — it’s a network.
A web of relationships where everything is connected.
Not just a food chain.
A fragile balance.
On Earth Day, a reminder:
what we don’t notice might be what matters most.

Due magnifiche volpi, silenziose e discrete, si muovono con eleganza tra le ombre, come se la natura stessa le stesse osservando in silenzio. La loro presenza è un attimo sospeso: uno sguardo rapido, un movimento leggero, e poi di nuovo il mistero. Incontri così non fanno rumore, ma restano impressi per sempre. 🦊✨

After some silence, I’m back with an old photo that still feels like winter to me.
Work kept me busy, but nature always feels like home.
Dopo un po’ di silenzio, torno con un vecchio scatto che per me profuma d’inverno.
Il lavoro mi ha tenuto lontano, ma la natura resta sempre casa.
