I took this picture the last winter in my Icelandic expedition in Breidamerkurjokull Glacier Ice cave. It was very challenging to balance the darkness inside the cave with the very strong light coming from outside.

The Eye.
I took this picture in Sicily, the last days of October, just a few moments before a huge storm. I still decided to run the risk of getting wet for the rain (which actually happened).
This soft light and the clouds just above the horizon showed only the last greeting of the sun to that day. It would have been a shame not to capture this magic.

The Eye.
Ho scattato questa foto in Sicilia verso la fine di ottobre, proprio qualche istante prima di una bella tempesta. Ho deciso comunque di correre il rischio di bagnarmi per la pioggia (cosa che poi è effettivamente accaduta).
Questa luce soffusa e le nuvole poco al di sopra dell'orizzonte lasciavano intravedere solo l'ultimo saluto del Sole a quella giornata. Sarebbe stato un peccato non immortalare questa magia.

Be alone, under the northern lights in a clear sky, lighted only by the stars, I can assure it was one of the most emotional experience I have ever had in my life.
I can't wait to go back.

Poter osservare dal vivo l'Aurora Boreale, in un cielo limpido, illuminato solo dalle stelle, posso assicurarvi che è stata una delle più forti emozioni che io abbia mai provato in vita mia.
Non vedo l'ora di tornarci.

Dyrhólaey: The Southern-most point of Iceland. In front of the white cliffs, a beginning winter pale sunset, the incessant wind and thousands of miles of ocean in front of my eyes.

The two Towers. Pacentro is a little town builded in the Middle Age in the hearth of Italy. The towers and the village are surrounded by very high mountains of Majella and Gran Sasso. Everything in the early winter afternoons is lighted by an amazing sun rays. What do you think about this picture?
