My photography is real. No altered faces, no perfected skin, no artificial bodies. Only what truly exists in front of me.

Everything begins with a vision

This photo comes from a photoshoot built around a crime story, where retro mood, noir tension, graphic-novel aesthetics, and a cinematic approach set the tone. We had a lot of fun shooting it. I’m not after a polished aesthetic. My photography rides that razor edge between good and bad taste.

“You press the button, we do the rest.” The Kodak camera in 1888 opened the door to delegated photography.

Today the formula reads: “You type the prompt, AI does the rest.”

The truth is AI hasn’t taken anything away.

Photography was emptied by those who confused convenience with progress, who reduced the act of seeing to automatic function.

I explore this on SQ**RT!:

From Kodak to AI, photography evolves while photographers abdicate creative responsibility, letting technology dictate visual culture.

I’ve just published a new spicy piece on SQ**RT!

Before anything else, I want to make clear that the models in the opening photo have nothing to do with the phenomenon I’m about to discuss. They’re professionals playing a role in a photoshoot. Period.

What I dissect is an anthropological category of men — men? — who orbit the female universe with a famished, compulsive, servile gaze, without a shred of dignity or critical distance. Clingy, anxious, pathetic. They consume every trace of femininity like it’s a ration handed out after a long famine.

They consume an idea of women shaped by algorithms and social media. Emoji-bombing every post. Drowning in bitter ideologies born in online echo chambers. Desperation dressed as virility.

Men trapped in toxic desire, craving validation through performative masculinity, losing dignity in a compulsive cycle fueled by social media

Photographic illiteracy is the great blind spot of our time.

Everyone produces images. Few understand photography as a language. Most shoot without grammar, without structure, without intent. The result is visual bulimia: noise smothering meaning.

This article explores visual ignorance, algorithms, standardization, and the erosion of complexity. It reflects on the urgency of visual education for those who want to inhabit the image rather than just consume it.

Photography is a language few master. In a flood of impulsive images, visual literacy is key to reclaim meaning and cultural depth.

Taking your work beyond social media means reclaiming control, authorship, and the power to shape your own aesthetic language.

Focusing everything on one’s own website, with one’s own timing, language, and aesthetics, is an act of cultural sovereignty. An almost revolutionary act in today’s landscape.
