🇮🇹 Ogni città alimenta l'interiorità umana perché ogni architettura favorisce il rapporto tra
ambiente e spirito. La città è una sorta di alfabeto collettivo, costituito da pietre, strade
e monumenti; in ogni angolo gloria e vergogna si intrecciano fra passato e presente.
Questo insieme, che costituisce il linguaggio della città, andrà a formare luoghi di
meraviglia, luoghi deserti o luoghi bui; ma saranno comunque quei luoghi dove
abiteremo e cercheremo di costruire le nostre vite.

🇬🇧 Each city feeds human interiority because each architecture favors the relationship between
environment and spirit. The city is a kind of collective alphabet, made up of stones, streets
and monuments; in every corner glory and shame intertwine between past and present. This whole, which constitutes the language of the city, will form places of wonder, deserted places or dark places; but they will still be those places where
we will inhabit and try to build our lives.

🇮🇹 Piazza Borghese
Il mio è un lungo viaggio solitario attraverso chiese, palazzi, templi e piazze della città
eterna. Mi rivedo nei panni di un esploratore urbano, un rabdomante alla ricerca di
suggestioni dimenticate negli angoli più nascosti. Un vo**ur dei monumenti solitari, di
quelle persone che vagano per la città; immersi nei loro pensieri senza consapevolezza di
ciò che li circonda.

Mine is a long walking journey in solitude across buildings, churches, temples and
squares of the eternal city. I see myself in the shoes of an urban explorer, a diviner
looking for forgotten suggestions in the most hidden corners. I am a vo**ur of the
solitary monuments, of those people who wanders around the city; immersed into their
thoughts without awareness of what is surrounding them.

Il fotografo è una versione armata del viandante solitario che perlustra, esplora, percorre
l’inferno urbano, del bighellone-vo**ur che scopre la città come paesaggio di estremità
voluttuose. Esperto delle gioie del guardare, intenditore di empatia, il flâneur considera il
mondo “pittoresco” (…) Il flâneur non è attratto dalle realtà ufficiali della città ma dai
suoi brutti angoli bui, dalla sua popolazione trascurata: una realtà non ufficiale che sta
dietro la facciata della vita borghese e che il fotografo cattura come un poliziotto cattura
un criminale.

🇮🇹 Via Dei Foraggi

Mentre di giorno tutto si può distinguere con chiarezza, durante la notte il mondo cade in una f***a
giungla onirica di simboli. I rami si intrecciano come nodi in un infinito gioco di chiaroscuri,
mentre l'unico segno del tempo che scorre viene evidenziato dai muri scrostati dei palazzi. Sembra
che in ogni angolo di Roma riecheggi il suo appellativo più conosciuto: la città eterna.

During the day everything can be clearly distinguished, during the night the world falls into a dense dreamlike jungle of symbols. The branches intertwine like knots in an infinite play of chiaroscuro, while the only sign of the passage of time is highlighted by the peeling walls of the buildings. It seems that in every corner of Rome echoes its best known name: the Eternal City.

L'andirivieni della quotidianità scorre senza sosta alla luce del sole, come la corrente di un fiume.
Poi improvvisamente arriva la notte: tutto si scioglie in una nuova staticità e il tempo si ferma. E' in
questo momento che ogni edificio può rilasciare l’energia trattenuta.

🇮🇹 Palazzo del Quirinale.

Il silenzio notturno viene squarciato improvvisamente dai pensieri che la notte genera. L'unico
rumore è quello dei mei passi e dell'otturatore che si chiude; nonostante tutto la città continua a
risuonare nella mia testa.

The nocturnal silence is suddenly torn by the thoughts that the night generates. The only noise is that of my footsteps and the shutter camera closing; yet the city resounds in my head.

🇮🇹 Piazza del Popolo.

Durante la notte le finestre romane si accendono di vita, sembrano scrutarti dall'alto della loro imponenza, si trasformano in occhi che animano un paesaggio altrimenti deserto. Il povero passante non può far altro che sentirsi osservato e continuare ad addentrarsi nel labirinto della citta eterna.

During the night the Roman windows light up with life, they seem to look down on you from theirs grandeur, are transformed into eyes that animate a desert landscape. The passer-by cannot help but feel observed and continue to enter the labyrinth of the eternal city.

🇮🇹 Grazie al Tower Drive-In, almeno per una notte, tutti hanno avuto l'opportunità di non pensare
al Covid e alle sue conseguenze, restituendo quella socialità e quel divertimento che erano normali nel 2019.

🇬🇧 Thanks to Tower Drive-In, at least for one night, everyona have the opportunity to not think about Covid and all its consequences, by restoring the sociability, fun and entertainment that was
once the norm in 2019.

🇮🇹 La riscoperta del Drive-in ha conquistato, oltre ai giovani, anche gli appassionati di auto, riuscendo a creare un evento trasversale per tutte le età che ha generato la movida in una cittadina di circa quindicimila abitanti.

🇮🇹 Nel 2020 crescono Drive-in su tutto il territorio italiano. Questo, in particolare, si trova a
Pontinia, un comune della provincia di Latina. Gli organizzatori hanno ricreato un allestimento ispirato al film Grease, portando attori, ballerini, cibi e musiche di quel periodo.

🇬🇧 In 2020 new drive-in are rising around the Italian territory. This particular drive-in is situated in Pontinia, a city in the Latina province. The organization has recreated a situation inspired by the movie Grease, bringing actors, dancers, foods and musics of that period.
