I’m realizing that I have sharing seasons.
And doing seasons.

Sometimes they mix, but lately it’s been all doing (And let me be clear that sometimes doing is simply sitting on my back porch feeling the 95 degree day) and sharing just makes me feel tired.

Today, however, I am having a huzzah moment and sharing these photos because I FINALLY finished knitting this scarf (last night) and was able to wear it out on its inaugural dog walk this morning.

I started it in Umbria, Italy while traveling with ROAM Yoga Retreats back in May. It was this little tiny thing. Now it’s a triangle something like 90” long and maybe 18” wide at its point. It’s definitely knit with imperfections, but by the time it wraps around me 4 times…who cares? The doing filled my soul.

If marketing myself was a the Gaga ball court I would have been out long ago.

I’m not sure what happened to summer.

I find myself in the land of slow and fast. Like some things were SOOOOOOO long ago. Like Matan’s bat mitzvah for example. But other things were just yesterday.

Anyway; if it pertains to you - sometimes I photograph big deal events like weddings and bat mitzvahs of monumental birthday parties.

If you are looking for someone to capture the feels and let you remain in the moment - I’m here for you.

I had a little less than 24 hours in Rome
It was my first time in Italy.
Me, my camera and a willingness to roam.

I was taken aback by how the old is mixed with the new…until I realized it was less about old + new and more like the old is mixed with the ancient. A surprise at the end of every windy, cobblestone street.

To find the Colosseum right there. Like just right there!! It surprised me. I imagined it in a desolate area all to itself. Something one must travel to, and not by foot as I did.

Thank you Google Maps for making my solo-adventure possible. I couldn’t have done it without you.

A photo assignment that necessitates photographing lots of hands doing what hands do? Yes, please!

I’m a little obsessed with the stories found in people’s hands. There’s an unexpected amount of understanding of who a person is at their core found in how they use their hands.

Photos made on assignment and in collaboration with Withn • Chiropractic and Wellness and Ashley La Marr CREATIVE to celebrate their business rebrand and website launch.
