Sunset on the Ligurian - Via dell’Amore

On one of my days in Italy, I spent it alone from the group and went on a little self-guided tour of Cinque Terre. I visited each of the five towns, ending with Riomaggiore. Then I walked back on the Via dell’Amore (Lover’s Lane), taking in the sunset before joining the group again for dinner.

Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italy

On this trip I definitely took some of the best shots I ever have, there are four that come to mind but this is the one I show people first. This shot will also always have a soft spot in my heart because once I found it, I ran to my brotha .autos and told him “I found it”, and in about 10 minutes he was down on one knee asking to marry him.

Safe Harbor

This is one of my favorite shots I got on a trip to Italy and Germany back in September, honestly probably one of my favorite shots I’ve ever gotten. I can say this is the first shot I’ve gotten where when I saw it, I knew exactly how I wanted the edit to turn out. It may just be an anchored boat, but this is how the world looks to me.

24 Hours in NYC: Part II of II

One of my favorite parts about shooting these friends of mine was that since they’re models I didn’t have to tell them how to pose. They did their thing and I did mine, allowing us to really flow and get some great shots. These were taken outside of the public library, which I really tried to take inspiration from for the color grade. For the photos in Times Square, I wanted to go for a really colorized look. Here, I wanted to go for a bit of an “old money” look due to the architecture and vibe of the library.

24hrs in NYC: Part I of II

On my way to Italy, I had a horrible travel day and was going to be stuck at JFK for exactly 24 hours. Thankfully, .lem let me crash with him and I got to spend part of those 24 hours exploring New York City for the first time. During that time, I met up with some friends from back home who were in the city for fashion week and we went out on a little impromptu photoshoot. I had them stand on bollards to get them out of the crowd of Times Square, and like the trendsetters we are, everybody around copied my idea to get better pictures. So if you see people standing on top of the bollards, you know how to give credit to.
