**Belling: The Call of Nature**

In the Italian mountains, you can spot a variety of birds of prey, both diurnal and nocturnal, including the golden eagle and the bearded vulture in the Alps, both symbols of the Alpine fauna's richness and the subject of reintroduction programs. Other common birds of prey include the buzzard, as pictured in this series, the sparrowhawk, the kestrel, and various falcons, which feed on rodents, hares, and birds. Among the nocturnal birds, the eagle-owl and the little owl can be found. For sightings, I always rely on Steiner binoculars, which are precise and reliable.
