Some weddings are better told quietly, in the small gestures nobody notices while they happen, a hand closing around another inside a car, a gaze lowered a moment before the kiss, the last light of the day passing through hair and tracing the profile of someone deeply loved. This is the photography I look for whenever I step into a wedding day, intimate and elegant, imposing nothing and simply waiting for the right moment, letting people decide when to arrive there. Working as a Sicily Wedding Photographer has taught me that elegance never lives in a constructed pose or a perfect setting, but in the truth of an instant that stays intact years later, when everything else about the day has slowly begun to fade.
Ci sono matrimoni che si raccontano meglio a bassa voce, nei gesti piccoli che nessuno nota mentre accadono, la mano che stringe un’altra mano dentro l’abitacolo di un’auto, uno sguardo che si abbassa un attimo prima del bacio, la luce del tramonto che passa tra i capelli e disegna il profilo di chi si ama. È questa la fotografia che cerco quando entro in una giornata di nozze, una fotografia intima ed elegante che non impone nulla e si limita ad aspettare il momento giusto, lasciando che siano le persone a decidere quando arrivare. Da fotografo matrimonio Palermo ho imparato che l’eleganza non sta nella posa costruita né nella scenografia perfetta, ma nella verità di un istante che resta intatto anche a distanza di anni, quando tutto il resto della giornata comincia lentamente a sfumare.
