There is something about film that simply cannot be replicated.

The softness of the grain, the depth of the tones, the way colors breathe differently when they are captured on emulsion rather than processed by a sensor.

During this celebration at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, part of the day was captured with a simple point-and-shoot film camera loaded with Portra 400. No staging, no filters, just instinct and timing. The result is a series of frames that feel immediate, tactile and honest, preserving the atmosphere exactly as it unfolded.

and brought an energy that made every candid moment feel effortless, and film became the perfect medium to translate that spontaneity into something tangible and timeless.

We’re honored to share that the unforgettable wedding of and at the iconic Tonnara di Scopello has now been featured on The Wed, following its earlier publication in Vogue France.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sicilian coastline, this luxury destination wedding was a vibrant celebration of love, culture, and personal style. From the golden hour ceremony to the high-energy party under the stars, every moment was pure magic.

As the official videographers of the day, we at Studio D’Essai had the privilege of capturing it all — filming in both digital and Super 8 to preserve the feeling of timeless elegance and raw emotion. Some of that Super 8 footage even found its way into Roxette’s latest music video, "Forever VII", now making waves on YouTube and streaming platforms — a beautiful blend of wedding storytelling and personal artistry.
