A wedding day at Castello di Badia, one of those places that really feels like home to me.

This time, for a beautiful English couple, so close, so in love, and surrounded by the kind of guests who make everything feel easy and full of joy.

The weather decided to play its own little game with us: a bit of rain before the ceremony, very harsh light during the vows, soft cloudy skies during the aperitivo, rain again during dinner, and then, almost like a final gift, a spectacular sunset.

But honestly, that was part of the magic.

They smiled through everything. Their guests did the same. Even when the rain arrived during dinner and everyone started wearing napkins on their heads, the mood never changed.

It just became one of those moments you know everyone will remember forever.

This is exactly why I love wedding days like this. Not because everything goes perfectly but because the people make it perfect anyway.

A truly unforgettable day in my place of the heart, Castello di Badia.

A wedding in the mountains of California.

Intimate, simple and beautiful in the deepest meaning of the word.

Just a small group of people, a lot of love, two incredibly sweet and tender souls and one of those sunset lights that feels almost too cinematic to be real.

And there was something even more special about it: they were not celebrating only a wedding, but also the beginning of a new chapter, with a little baby that is going to be part of the story.

Last week I had the privilege of photographing one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
Not just because of the place, even though California gave us something unforgettable.
Not just because of the light, the mountains, the silence, the colours.

But because I was there thanks to my work and I still find that a bit crazy.

Years ago something like this would have felt almost impossible. Flying across the world to tell a love story with my camera, being welcomed into such an intimate day, standing there at sunset with two people trusting me completely.

And yet, there I was.

Grateful, tired, emotional, and very aware that photography has taken me much further than I ever imagined.

This one will stay with me for a long time.

Back in full wedding season and it already feels like home.

This time at Castello di Ristonchi with a beautiful couple from New York who brought with them the kind of energy you instantly connect with.

Kind, genuine, surrounded by a small circle of friends and family for an intimate celebration that felt effortless from start to finish.

The spring weather couldn’t have been more generous.

The ceremony came with that classic tough, unforgiving light, but honestly… they didn’t care, and that’s what matters.

They lived it fully, and we rode through it together.

Then we slowed things down, waited, and let the day breathe.
And when the sun finally softened, it gave us that golden light we were hoping for… quiet, warm, and just right for a few portraits.

Grateful to be back doing what I love with people like this.

This is exactly my kind of wedding.

An intimate celebration with a German couple, surrounded by just a handful of family and close friends.

No noise, no stress, just a very relaxed atmosphere where everything felt natural and real.

As per "nordic tradition" the ceremony happened early in the day: the light was strong and not exactly forgiving, but honestly, none of that really mattered.

They were fully present, enjoying every second, and that’s what makes the difference.

They were beautiful, kind, and incredibly easy to work with.
One of those couples that remind you why you love this job.

In the end a wedding is never about perfect light. It’s about real moments.

Yesterday felt like one of those days where everything just flows in its own perfect way.

A beautiful Mexican and Italian story, brought together at Borgo Stomennano with the magic touch of Mirka, who always knows how to turn a wedding into something effortlessly special.

The ceremony took place in the garden, surrounded by soft light, warm colors and that quiet kind of emotion that doesn’t need to be loud to be felt deeply. Later on, we moved inside the villa to take advantage of its timeless elegance, letting the light and textures do most of the work.

We stepped outside for just a few minutes, chasing a sunset that decided to show up only briefly… but sometimes that’s all you need. A small window, a quick moment, and it becomes something real.

And then, as always, everything turned into a proper celebration.

Music, energy and a big party by the pool to close the day exactly how it deserved.

Last summer I had the chance to photograph a very nicewedding in Switzerland, surrounded by what should have been one of the most breathtaking panoramic views imaginable… at least in theory.

As one of the photos from the day before shows, the location was absolutely spectacular.

On the wedding day, however, the weather had other plans: relentless rain, heavy fog, and visibility reduced to barely 30 meters for almost the entire day.

Yet somehow, none of that mattered.

Because despite the storm raging outside the atmosphere inside was filled with warmth, emotion and genuine love.

From the very first videocall I had the feeling these two were truly wonderful people and they proved it in every possible way.

I did not know exactly what to expect.

First wedding in Switzerland, first time photographing a professional football player, challenging weather from start to finish… but in the end all I brought home were beautiful memories and the certainty that amazing people always make amazing weddings.

These images were captured mostly under shelter from the rain but we came back home incredibly satisfied with what we created together.

And as for the road trip back with Simone...
let’s just say that story deserves its own post someday.

𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙙𝙞 𝙁𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙞𝙖 – 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙢𝙖 𝙀𝙙𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚

Dal 12 gennaio al 9 febbraio torna il Corso Base MIPstudio, ormai alla decima edizione!

È pensato per chi vuole avvicinarsi alla fotografia in modo serio ma senza prendersi troppo sul serio, oppure per chi ha già qualche nozione e vuole mettere ordine nelle basi e capire davvero come funziona la macchina.

Nelle cinque lezioni teoriche (due ore ciascuna) parleremo di tecnica, luce, composizione e postproduzione… ma senza fare filosofia inutile: tutto spiegato in modo semplice, concreto e soprattutto pratico, così inizierete da subito a scattare con più sicurezza e consapevolezza.

Le lezioni saranno tenute nel mio studio in modo da farvi anche provare con mano attrezzatura professionale (fotocamere, lenti, luci, flash etc etc) oltre che a poter usare un maxischermo per farvi vedere in diretta esempi pratici e slides.

Alla fine ci sarà la nostra uscita fotografica di gruppo, un momento sempre divertente dove mettiamo in pratica tutto quello che abbiamo visto in aula.

Dopo l’uscita vi analizzerò personalmente gli scatti, con consigli sinceri e diretti su come migliorare e iniziare a costruire il vostro percorso fotografico.
