Today we take you to the workshop where my platform was crafted – a unique place specialized in making surfboards in Bicchio, just outside Viareggio. 🏄‍♂️

The platform was conceived back in 2012, designed by a friend engineer and built by a guy named “Spadoni” at this surfboard place. A couple of weeks ago, we took the platform back there for special maintenance.
We fixed and adjusted some elements to get ready for the summer shoots and ensure that everything works smoothly.

Dive into 𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘢 𝘥𝘰𝘨 – on view for the first time at Oasi Dynamo as part of my show ‘La Grande Oasi. The way we live, now’.
Te picture occupies the center of the main nave, somehow representing a transition between the “traditional” pictures taken along European beaches and the new series of works specially taken in the Pistoia Apennines.

Every September 1st, locals gather in the ancient port of Monopoli for a traditional dawn swim, which is believed to bring health and good luck for the winter.

Last year we captured this extraordinary event, and one of the photos taken on that occasion will be part of the Scatti per Bene charity auction, held on Nov 6th at Triennale Milano 👇🏻
