From Cannes to Venice, Berlin to Rome—my lens has captured the stars, visionaries, and storytellers who define European cinema.
Each red carpet moment tells a story beyond the screen.

Documenting DIG Festival 2025
Modena hosted Europe's most important investigative journalism festival. Five days, 100+ events, countless stories of courage.

Moments that stay with me:
Francesca Albanese's return—UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian territories. Teatro delle Passioni packed, queues in the streets. Her words: the global economy "sustains and profits from an economy of genocide." In Piazza Grande, crowds embraced her with "obstinate physical closeness."
"24 Hours in Gaza" screening followed by discussions on journalist targeting.
The Paragon scandal revelation—Italian journalists spied upon—room so crowded people sat on floors.
Damir Šagolj's masterclass on photographing genocide ethically.
Environmental journalism workshops on climate documentation.
Fabio Bucciarelli's "Occupied Territories" exhibition—documenting the documentation.

Technical notes:
Fujifilm X-T5 and X-T4 proved their reliability. The X-T5's 40MP sensor and 7-stop stabilization handled everything from intimate gestures to wide contexts. XF 50-140mm f/2.8 for respectful distance, XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 for environmental context.
The equipment disappeared—cameras responding instantly meant focusing entirely on the unfolding truth.

Why it matters:
Investigative journalism faces legal persecution, physical threats, surveillance. The awards honored work that led to death threats, documentaries filmed under danger. These weren't comfortable achievements—they were costly dedications.
Modena's Renaissance architecture provided the perfect frame. Between sessions, international journalists shared espresso in century-old cafés, comparing notes on source protection and surveillance techniques.
Five days. One truth: journalism matters.

MODENA STREET PARADE 2025 - PEACE, MUSIC & FREEDOM
What an incredible day! On October 18th, 5,000 people took over the streets of Modena for the third edition of our antimilitarist Street Parade!
16 trucks, endless electronic beats, and thousands of souls united by one powerful message: "Not one penny, not one soldier - Against ALL wars"
From Novi Sad Park to Ferrari Park, we danced, we protested, we celebrated FREEDOM. We stopped at the former military barracks to make our voices heard: NO to rearmament, NO to military spending, YES to healthcare, education, and social justice!
This wasn't just a party – this was RESISTANCE through music. This was SOLIDARITY in action. This was thousands of people saying: we refuse to be silent.
Dancing is our weapon. Music is our language. Peace is our goal. 🕊️
Thank you to everyone who joined us, to the organizers, and to every single person who believes that another world is possible.

TODAY IT'S THEM. TOMORROW, WHO?
Imagine waking up in a future where exercising your right to protest means six years in prison. Where blocking a street to demand justice makes you a criminal. Where being different, believing in something, or simply saying ""NO"" leads to arrest.

This isn't science fiction. It's the dystopian warning of , a powerful photographic exhibition held in Modena on May 29, 2025.

📸 The exhibition presents haunting black and white mugshots of ordinary citizens arrested during a peaceful LGBTQ+ demonstration imagined for October 22, 2025 – exactly 103 years after the fascist march on Rome. These images, supposedly ""hacked"" from a fictional ""Moral Police,"" show us what happens when civil liberties are progressively eroded.

The current Security Decree criminalizes passive resistance, transforms peaceful protesters into criminals, and punishes those who dare to dissent. History has taught us that fascist laws of the 1920s began exactly like this: limiting dissent one step at a time.

Those who forget history are condemned to relive it.

🎯 YOU CAN BE PART OF THIS ACT OF DISOBEDIENCE
Take a horizontal A4 sheet and write:

I am [your condition]
Are you a separated mother? A student? An activist? LGBTQ+? An environmentalist? A journalist? Complete it with who you are and what you believe in. Take a photo and share it.
Because freedom isn't lost in a single day, but millimeter by millimeter. And when you realize you've lost it, it's already too late to save it.
