Every day we are joined by news and information about the world around us but as never before this reality for many of us is virtual, distant.
Getting inside the refugee camp of Dobova, Slovenia, allowed me to re-contact the reality that from behind a screen, we often forget or feel distant.
See these rivers formed by thousands of men women and children, breathe the same cold air of night, hear their voices, help and try to give comfort, feel involved, walk with them the few hundred meters of that long journey certainly brings feelings that can hardly be described but whose deep rarity we all perceive as a shiver.
Because fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, are perspectives, and each of us is called to seek his own, to look at the reality and to live.

In January of this year I met Konrad, a volunteer in the camp of Dobova, Slovenia.
I discovered that he was writing a book that talks about what happening in the humanitarian crisis we are experiencing and the issues that we are facing.
We have worked together during one of the shifts, and we had occasion to talk a little about our ideas and projects.
When he asked me a few photos to complete his work I was immediately enthusiastic of the project and really happy that some of my pictures found places in his book.
