Federica’s wedding morning didn’t happen in a hotel. It happened in her grandparents’ home in Acireale — a kitchen that had seen fifty years of Sunday lunches, a mirror her mother had used before her. Those rooms gave her gallery its heart, and no suite could have done the same.
Couples sometimes apologise for a short guest list, as if it needed defending. It doesn’t. When twenty people are in the room instead of two hundred, nobody performs. The day gets quieter, and truer, and that truth is exactly what ends up in the photographs.
If you’re imagining a small wedding in Sicily — a family table under a pergola, a terrace above the sea, a house that means something — I wrote a guide to where to begin. It’s on the blog, link in bio.
