Grado on the Adriatic northern part of Italy is a well known small city famous for its mild climate and renowned spa's of salt water. The harbor with its fisherman's boats is picturesque and offers a great stroll around it, especially during the evening.

Pignarul (or Fogolar) is popular tradition from Northern Italy during the epiphany time. It consist in a big fire where on the top sometimes it's placed a made-up witch with old clothes and wood. It cleans up the past and negativity and represents the end of the holidays.

A gloomy winter afternoon could be a romantic and relaxing drive among the Italian near the border. The sun was barely hidden by a layer of fog and clouds and created a beautiful dark yellow atmosphere.

I'm still amazed buy the color intensity of the Friuli countryside. Mid spring is absolutely beautiful. Cool and warm air in short time, heavy clouds full of rain and beautiful sun peeking out on the horizon. I took this photo near and on the appellation.

Una collina che e' rimasta pressoché' identica in tutti questi anni ed uno scorcio dei colli isontini con ciliegi in fiore. Una giornata così limpida e' il momento giusto per portarsi a casa un bel ricordo.
