Tra Aqua e fili
I have things with a history in my wardrobe: a leather bag from Berlin, found at a flea market during my first independent trip to Europe, my grandfather’s tie that he wore to work, my mother’s leather belt, my grandmother’s wedding ring. Each thing had its own rich life, and I’m happy that it has not ended, but continues.
This shoot is a big story of “the continuation of the life of things”. Each collar is sewn by the kind hands of Rosa’s mother from the things of mothers and grandmothers that can no longer be worn, but whose life they want to continue.
Every thing on Jessica - once had another owner and now finds a new life in her store.
And her mother got married in the wedding dress in the last shots.
All of Venice is a continuous history, right under your feet, in the air, in the canals. It was not by chance that the shoot was held here: Jessica grew up here among water, boats and fogs.
This shoot was born literally in a couple of days from one impulse, carefully prepared and filmed within 12 hours. A very important stage for me is to tell not only my story as a photographer, but also yours. And to give new ideas, things, creativity - a new life.
Grazie di cuore Rosa & Jessica
